Save Children from Malnutrition

by Australian Committee For UNICEF Limited

No Child Should Die from Hunger

Good nutrition is the foundation of a child’s ability to survive and thrive. Well-nourished children grow stronger, learn better, play more, and are better able to participate in their communities.

Yet today, nearly 8 million children are at risk of dying from severe malnutrition—that’s one child every 60 seconds in 15 of the world’s most crisis-affected countries.

Conflict, climate disasters, and rising food prices are pushing families to the brink. The war in Ukraine has caused global food costs to surge, the blockage to aid in Gaza is causing children to starve, ongoing conflicts in Sudan have caused famine, while floods and droughts continue to destroy crops and livelihoods in the Asia Pacific. The result? Catastrophic levels of child hunger, especially for those under five.

With support from generous donors, UNICEF is already on the ground in over 190 countries. Thanks to our global supply chains, local partnerships, and pre-positioned emergency supplies, we can deliver lifesaving nutrition support within 48 hours of a crisis.

But we can’t do it without you. By becoming a regular donor, you can help us implement long-lasting systemic change to ensure no child goes hungry.

Join us in the fight against child malnutrition. Your support can help save a child’s life.
