The situation in Gaza is desperate for children and their families, including many Save the Children staff. Children are always the first to suffer in any conflict – and the stories continuing to come from Gaza are the stuff of nightmares. Children are being killed at a devastating rate, whole families are being wiped out, and a growing number of people, including children, are being left with no surviving family members. As the conflict continues to escalate, there are reports of the loss of innocent children’s lives to hunger and disease.
With virtually no humanitarian access, Save the Children is currently operating 100 sites across 12 communities in Deir al-Balah. This includes 2 primary healthcare centres and 10 mother and baby areas providing prevention and treatment for malnutrition. We are trucking water to 20 communities and providing temporary latrines. Our learning centres are teaching children English, maths and Arabic, with built-in mental health support. Alongside partners, we are using our unique expertise to manage around 100 child protection cases and provide spaces for children to play and bond with their families.
We remain ready to do more with supplies prepositioned in border countries, but without significant political progress, access and distribution will remain a constant challenge.
We are working alongside local partners to provide these vital services, which are less reliant on physical goods but require funds to remain operational.
With your help, Save the Children stands ready to scale-up our support to children who need humanitarian assistance. We are calling for an immediate and definitive ceasefire. All children captured must be released immediately and unconditionally.

$132 will allow us to provide a families with Hygiene Kits containing items such as jerry cans, aquatabs, and toiletry necessities.
$150 allows us to provide 2 families Baby Kits.
Funds raised will be used to assist children and families in need. Any funds raised in excess of the amount required will be allocated to dedicated programming which supports children and families affected by emergencies around the world.
