Ukraine War Escalates | Continuing to Shatter Childhoods

チャリティ活動名 Australian Committee For UNICEF Limited

In just one month, 97 children were killed or maimed in Ukraine.

Three years on, there is no respite from war for Ukraine Children.

The situation:

- 3.5 million lack access to basic goods and services, including adequate food or shelter,
- 3.7 million internally displaced people and 5.6M refugees
- 1 in 3 children live in homes without functioning water supply and sewage
- 50% children lack access to an area to play at home or outside

Continued and relentless attacks on critical water, sanitation, and energy infrastructure, children’s homes, schools and healthcare facilities, combined with rising poverty, have caused an increase in material deprivation.

Despite all the challenges, there is still hope driven by the country’s extraordinary resilience embodied by its children and youth. UNICEF is uniquely positioned to build on the resilience and resolve of the country through its child rights mandate, technical expertise, and robust evidence-base for humanitarian and development programming and field presence.

Her town no longer has a school, kindergarten, or medical facility.
